Souther Tier – hoppe
Brewer: Southern Tier
Variety: Imperial Pale Ale
Region: New England: Lakewood, New York
Kick: 8% alcohol by volume
Price: $6.50 / 22oz bottle
Character: Balanced, medium sweetness, spicy character, medium hop, herbaceous back end, somewhat viscous.
Head: Foamy & thick
Analysis: Enjoyable unique character. Reminiscent of autumn. I’m not sure when the right time to drink this brew might be. Perhaps a lazy afternoon celebrating a rare Mets victory. This is not a summery BBQ beer as I might normally enjoy a pale ale. Not overly hoppy, but with a decent pallet of flavors that make this a nice change of pace.
