Fucked Up/Sloan Holiday Split 7″

Damian Abraham of Fucked up announced via twitter that a limited Christmas split 7″ is now available for preorder. All proceeds from the sale of this record go to the COUNTERfit Drug Users Memorial Project and the Barriere Lake Legal Defense Fund. The record will be limited to 500 pieces and is available via Fucked Up’s bigcartel page.

There was no preview available immediately for Fucked Up’s track, but you can see a video of a performance that was played at the end of “No Reservations” recently. Sloan’s rendition of “Twelve Days of Christmas” is a sweet and silly track that could find itself slotted into eclectic and more traditional holiday playlists alike.

You may recall a couple years back Fucked Up produced an amazing rendition of “Do the Know It’s Christmas” by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure, and features vocals from Yo La Tengo, GZA (Wu Tang Clan), Ezra Koenig (Vampire Weekend), Bob Mould (Husker Du, Sugar), Tegan & Sara, Andrew W.K., Kyp Malone (TV on the Radio), David Cross (comedian) and Kevin Drew (Broken Social Scene). That precious gem is still available. Check it out at Matador.

This release also benefited charity, 100% of the proceeds from sale of the track went to Justice for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (Montreal), DTES Power of Women Group (Vancouver) and Sisters in Spirit (Ottawa).
